We have just completed our second co-living property in this great Wirral location, and the response we have received has got us really excited for our future ones.

At Neighbourhood, we love the Wirral. Being so close to Liverpool, many ‘out of town’ investors and developers have the assumption that people would rather live on that side of the Mersey – but we know the truth. Whilst there are many who would prefer to live in the city– there are plenty who would prefer work and live over the water.

Of the towns and villages on the Wirral peninsula, New Brighton and Oxton are our two picks for young professionals. Both have wonderful places to eat, drink and socialise. Both have a strong population of young, like minded working people, and both are only a short drive or train journey from Liverpool city centre – providing the best of both worlds for our tenants.

New Brighton is a Victorian seaside town currently benefitting from a significant amount of investment and redevelopment. Overlooking the beach and promenade is the now thriving Marine Point retail development. A Light Cinema, supermarket and a number of bars, cafes and restaurants, it has had a transformative effect on the town.

A few roads back from the promenade, a quieter yet arguably more important transformation is taking hold. A local businessman is investing heavily in the roads around Victoria Street – creating the ‘Victoria Quarter’. Here, street murals are decorating cool new restaurants and bars. There is news of a food hall of a similar vein to the wildly successful Baltic Market, and a general excitement for what is to come.

We are looking forward to playing our part in this exciting and developing town – helping to provide the young working professionals who would love to live here a place they can call home. If you’re new to the area and looking for a great place to live, we’d highly recommend making the short train journey to check it out.
